JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Driver to start working ASAP. Empact Group requires the services of reputable Driver. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;

  • Must have Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and PDP with a clean driving record
  • Must have previous experience as a Driver in a similar environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:  

The applicant must have the following skills and competences

  • Must be punctual, dependable, and trustworthy.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and customer service-focused.
  • Must have positive attitude, proactive, and solution-oriented.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Must have excellent time management and ability to manage delivery schedules efficiently.
  • Must have ability to handle and drive various types of vehicles, including cars and light commercial vehicles.
  • Must have strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Must have high level of professionalism and reliability.
  • Must have ability to handle basic vehicle maintenance checks (e.g., oil level, tire pressure, fluid levels).
  • Must have ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have physically fit and able to assist with equipment movement and other physical tasks when required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:

  • To ensure planning and carrying out cost-effective, timely deliveries.
  • Completing of log sheets, reading delivery documents and maps and communicating effectively with internal staff and customers.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping practices in respect of the vehicles driven.
  • To pack and unpack items/goods to be stocked in storeroom.
  • To store items in an orderly and accessible manner.
  • To examine and inspect stock item for wear or defects, reporting damage to supervisor.
  • To receive and count stock items, reporting discrepancies to supervisor
  • To mark stock items as and when needed.
  • To ensure correct documentation is available when receiving or dispatching stock. Report disparities immediately to supervisor.
