Enprotec, a leading engineering solutions provider, is seeking a skilled and motivated Artisan Aide to join our team at the Makhado Colliery site. As a key member of our maintenance operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our plant.
Job Overview
The Artisan Aide will work closely with our skilled artisans to perform mechanical, boiler-making, and basic electrical tasks. You will contribute to the maintenance, repair, and installation of plant equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all site safety rules, MHSA requirements, and permit-to-work procedures
- Assist artisans with mechanical, boiler-making, and basic electrical maintenance tasks
- Support plant maintenance activities, including lubrication, component replacements, and tool handling
- Aid qualified artisans with maintenance, repairs, and installations of plant equipment
- Perform routine inspections, housekeeping, and equipment checks
- Maintain tools, workshop areas, and workstations in impeccable order
- Follow instructions from mentors, foremen, and engineering staff
- Assist with basic documentation for maintenance tasks and reporting

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics & Science
- N2 or relevant technical certificate in Mechanical or Electrical fields (advantageous)

- Good health and physically fit for demanding industrial tasks
- Medically fit for the role

- South African citizen residing within the Makhado Local Municipality
- No criminal records – clean background check required
- Strong safety awareness and sober habits

- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a maintenance team
