We are currently seeking a highly skilled Buyer to join our team in Sasolburg. 📋 KEY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Buyer will be responsible for overseeing a sophisticated portfolio of material purchases to meet Sasol stakeholder requirements, driving lowest total‑cost sourcing strategies, and guaranteeing that materials are delivered On‑Time In‑Full (OTIF). The role also requires proactive management to minimise overdue or partial deliveries, contributing to overall supply‑chain competitiveness.

🚀 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Procurement Execution: Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes (Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order) within required cycle times.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to SOX and supply‑chain policy regulations, including SHE, quality, and legislative requirements.
- Demand Management: Interpret demand signals to create accurate purchase orders and track, expedite, and close out POs effectively.
- Delivery Performance: Manage late, overdue, and critical deliveries with timely escalation and ensure PO health, tracking, and governance compliance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to enforce OTIF delivery and supplier compliance.
- Contract Management: Draft simple, once‑off contracts aligned to purchase orders.
- Risk & Quality: Oversee supplier performance, risk exposure, and delivery quality to maintain a robust supply chain.

🎯 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree (university level) in a relevant field.
- 4+ years of experience in procurement, buying, or supply‑chain management.
- Strong understanding of procurement governance and compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage complex material portfolios and drive cost‑effective sourcing.
