VKB Group, a leading agricultural company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Code 10 Driver to join our team in Reitz, Free State. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for disinfecting chicken houses and ensuring the highest standards of biosecurity and customer service.


JOB DETAILS 📝

- Job Title: Code 10 Driver

- Location: Reitz, Free State, South Africa

- Job Type: Permanent


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 📚

- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent

- Code 10 license with PDP

- Technical background advantageous

- Working knowledge of the layout of chicken houses


REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 💪

- Ability to interact with clients in a respectful, helpful, and responsive manner

- Effective communication skills

- Ability to work effectively with others

- Ability to record, analyze, and report information (verbal and written)

- Ability to work independently when required


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 📋

- Disinfect chicken broiler houses on a daily basis in accordance with disinfection Standard Operating Procedures

- Travel to various farms on a daily basis to perform disinfecting of chicken houses

- Complete required documentation, including the disinfecting checklist

- Prepare disinfecting liquid by mixing approved chemical at the appropriate dilution into the tank

- Take swabs after disinfecting each chicken house

- Follow manufacturer's instructions when using the disinfecting unit

- Ensure the house is prepared (such as switching on the fan) before disinfecting

- Follow laid-down Standard Operating Procedures when performing disinfecting from start to finish

- Secure the chicken house after disinfecting to restrict unauthorized access
