🚩 Rigger Position – Rustenburg

LHK Consultancy is excited to announce an opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Rigger to join our client's dynamic mining project team in Rustenburg. We are looking for an individual who thrives in demanding environments, prioritises safety, and can deliver efficient, results-driven performance to meet the operational needs of a world-class mining operation.

📋 Key Responsibilities

- Perform precise rigging operations for lifting, moving, and positioning heavy equipment in underground and surface environments.

- Inspect, maintain, and certify all rigging tools and lifting gear to ensure optimal safety and compliance.

- Align all rigging activities with underground safety regulations and operational standards, minimising risk and downtime.

- Collaborate closely with site engineering and operations teams to plan and execute daily rigging tasks that support production goals.

- Adhere strictly to legal, safety, and company compliance requirements, participating in regular safety audits and toolbox talks.

- Prepare detailed rigging plans and documentation for each job, ensuring traceability and quality assurance.

- Train or mentor junior rigging personnel on best practices and safety procedures when required.

✅ Requirements & Qualifications

- Valid trade test certificate in rigging or equivalent recognised qualification.

- Minimum 3 years of proven rigging experience, preferably in mining or heavy industrial environments.

- Demonstrated experience in underground construction or mining operations.

- In-depth knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging techniques, and safety procedures (e.g., load calculations, sling selection).

- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and in physically demanding conditions.

- Strong teamwork and communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.

- Valid medical certificate for underground work (or willingness to obtain).
