UMi ELLSiF Mining JV is an unincorporated joint venture between UMi Plant Hire and Ellsif Trading and Projects (Pty) Ltd, with a primary focus on mining, logistics, plant hire, and property development. The head office is situated at Emakhazeni Local Municipality, Belfast.

We would like to extend our sincere apologies for any misunderstanding caused by the initial advert issued by our technical JV partner Limefields. The work relates to equipment that was previously stopped due to production cuts. Therefore, preference will be given to previously laid-off local operators.

Positions Currently Required (subject to additional spare operators)
The company is hiring experienced heavy equipment operators for the Wonderfontein Colliery project. The vacancies are:



1. 4 × Excavator Operators – responsible for operating excavators in mining operations.
2. 6 × Articulated Dump Truck Operators – tasked with transporting materials using articulated dump trucks.
3. 2 × Bulldozer Operators – required to operate bulldozers for earthmoving and site preparation.

Job Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the positions:
- Valid and relevant operator certificates for the specific equipment.
- Proven experience in the respective role  (excavator, dump truck, or bulldozer).
- Availability to start immediately upon selection.
- Strong safety awareness and a responsible work ethic – safety is a top priority on site.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operating similar equipment (additional experience is an advantage).
