We are recruiting for the following specialised roles (reference numbers provided for each position):
1. Chargehands – Ref: CH/SHUT001
2. Pipefitters / Boilermakers – Ref: PF/SHUT004
3. QC Level 1 & Level 2 – Ref: QC/SHUT001
4. Safety Officers – Ref: SO/SHUT005
5. Driver – Ref: DRV/SHUT001
6. Superintendents – Ref: SPT/SHUT001
7. Supervisors – Ref: SPU/SHUT001
8. Welders – Ref: WD/SHUT001
9. Storemen – Ref: STM/SHUT001
Each position is essential for the successful execution of the Secunda Shutdown, requiring precision, teamwork, and adherence to strict safety protocols.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS
- Relevant trade qualifications and demonstrable experience specific to the applied role.
- Minimum experience stipulations (see role‑specific details below).
- Proven work experience at Sasol Synfuels or similar high‑pressure industrial environments.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
- Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and shutdown schedules as required.
- Valid South African ID or work permit, plus proof of residential address.
- Up‑to‑date SARS / Tax certificate.
ROLE‑SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Welders: Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial welding experience.
- Pipefitters / Boilermakers: Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial experience.
- Supervisors: Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
