📢 JOB OPPORTUNITY 

– YOUTH MENTOR (1 Position)Contract Duration: 12 months (fixed‑term).

Stipend: R2 786.08 per month.

REQUIREMENTS (Essential Criteria for Eligibility)

1. Academic Qualification: Minimum Grade 12 Certificate (Matric).

2. Computer Skills: Demonstrated computer literacy (MS Office or equivalent).

3. Age: Candidate must be between 18 and 35 years old.

4. Additional Qualifications: A relevant tertiary qualification (diploma/degree) is an added advantage and will be favourably considered.

5. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with strong interpersonal skills.

6. Gender Preference: Preference given to male applicants (open to all qualified candidates).

📚 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Comprehensive Role Overview)

- Entrepreneurial Development: Create an enabling environment that fosters entrepreneurial skills among young people, designing individualized opportunities for each participant.

- Counselling Services: Provide basic counselling support to address personal and developmental challenges faced by youth.

- Referral System: Offer referrals to professional services (e.g., psychological, legal, or vocational assistance) when specialized help is required.

- Life Skills Programmes: Deliver structured life‑coaching and mentorship through tailored life‑skills programmes aimed at personal growth and resilience.

- Career Guidance: Facilitate career guidance sessions, leadership development workshops, and socio‑economic awareness initiatives to empower youth for future opportunities.

- Pro‑activeness Instillation: Encourage and model a proactive mindset among youth, teaching them effective problem‑solving and challenge‑management strategies.
